After nearly 30 years, the first Brokk sold in the United States has made its way back home to Monroe, Wash. In 1983, the first batch of Brokk machines arrived in America: three Brokk 250s, sold by Roland Johansson, the original U.S. distributor for Brokk.
In 2010, McNally-Kiewit began construction in Cleveland, OH, on a project that will aid significantly in the efforts to improve water quality in Lake Erie and Euclid Creek. Known as the Euclid Creek Storage Tunnel Project, the contract will extend over four years at a cost of nearly 200 million dollars. Recently, McNally-Kiewit purchased a Brokk 160 to help with some particularly challenging aspects of the job.
Following Brokk AB’s best performance ever in 2011, 2012 has kicked off as the best year for orders received in Brokk Inc’s history in the Americas. Today, there are more than 5,000 Brokk machines in use all over the world, and the company is continuing to grow.
