The TE 160 rock drill is one of those attachments, and it’s just about as versatile as our Brokk machines. It’s one of the latest developments from TEI Rock Drills, and while its sole purpose is to drill holes, it can be used in varied applications.

The TE 160 delivers enough power for effective drilling through brick, concrete and rock. It’s 75 inches long, which makes it ideal for use in areas with low headroom or limited space, such as tunnels and mines or beneath buildings. Contractors can use it with the Brokk 100 or Brokk 160 to drill holes for splitters or cracking agents for safe, non-explosive demolition. Users also can drill relief holes in hard concrete or rock, allowing the material to expand and break apart more quickly and easily while removing it with a hydraulic breaker.

In addition, it can be used for making exploratory holes to obtain core samples of potential mining sites, drilling holes for rebar and for setting underground roof bolts.

The TEI 160 rock drill complements many other Brokk attachments. For example, with just one Brokk machine, rock drill, breaker and bucket you’ll have all of the tools to make projects like excavating in confined spaces more efficient.

Drill holes up to 2 inches in diameter and to depths of 20 feet with the TE 160. Or for applications needing larger holes, we have the TE 260 for Brokk 160, 260 and 400. The largest drill we offer is the TE 350 suitable for Brokk 400 and Brokk 800.

All drills are available with the controls integrated into the Brokk control box for easy “one button” drilling.
